After owning Hilltop Orchards for 20 years, the Vittori’s have expanded their Berkshire portfolio with the purchase of The Garden Gables Inn on Main St. in Lenox. In the year since their acquisition, they have made many improvements to the elegant 18-room Inn. This includes renovations to the rooms, suites and common areas, now decorated with a European country influence. A new Spa Treatment room was designed to offer guests pampering bodywork therapies and a certified yoga/meditation instructor leads private or group sessions.
As farm owners and members of Berkshire Grown, the Vittori’s are committed to supporting other local farmers by buying regionally grown and prepared foods for their Inn’s kitchen. They strongly promote the concept of “buying local.” Simply… to buy food, goods or services produced, grown, or raised in the Berkshires and surrounding communities. This reduces the amount of fossil fuel used to transport foods long distances. And, most importantly, it keeps local farms alive and preserves the open space that defines the scenic beauty of our region.
